Guru Punghavan is a 24-year-old entrepreneur with a background in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation
Engineering from Hindustan University. He has led research in humanoid robotics, industrial automation, and
renewable energy. Guru transitioned into manufacturing, focusing on sub-assemblies for home appliance OEMs.
He later took over his family business, EW Group, growing its revenue from ₹25 crore to ₹150 crore. As the
founder of EWC Recycling Pvt Ltd, Guru pioneered India’s first high-energy density lithium-ion cell, BOSON,
and is advancing sustainable battery material recovery. Guru blends technical expertise with entrepreneurial
vision to drive innovation and sustainability in industrial sectors.
