Karthikeyan Santharam started this from Relux Traveler's in the year of 2010, then continued his ventures as Relux Holidays, Relux Super Cars, Relux Smoke Sticks, Relux Medic. Relux Electric is a passion-driven venture founded by Karthikeyan Santharam, who has been at the forefront of India's electric mobility revolution. Established in 2012, Relux Electric holds the distinction of being the first company in India to undertake dedicated R&D in electric vehicle (EV) technology, having successfully supplied chargers and contributed to the design of various EV components for leading OEMs. Karthikeyan was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in 2020 for his pioneering thesis on "Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure." He is also a Founding Board Member of the 'Charge Point Operators' Society of India and serves as a Technology Partner for the 'National Highway' for Electric Vehicles (NHEV) initiative.
Relux Electric is currently the only company in India to have installed EV charging stations at National Highway tollgates and wayside amenities of NHAI across the country, underscoring its leadership in building sustainable and accessible charging infrastructure nationwide.
