Manoj Shankar is the Country R&D Head for Industrial Adhesives & Tapes Division of 3M for India region. A
proven technocrat and expert in material science and bonding technologies. He has 26 plus years of Industrial
experience which spans leadership roles leading diverse technical teams in India and as well some of the Asia
region countries across geographies.
The experience in 3M spans 18 years in R&D driving Product development ,new application development,
specification & new technologies across multiple market segments of Industrial business, Research &
Development collaborating with academia and Institutes, Product engineering collaborating with Manufacturing
team, Project management and extensive experience collaborating with teams across diverse geographies - from
US, Latin America, China to Europe in adhesive, sealants, and tapes technology.
In his previous company Jubilant Organosys he has worked for 8 plus years as a Research Scientist & Technical
service PAN India for developing technologies and applications based on Solventless Polyurethane Adhesives,
Renewable based Adhesives and other Recyclable content-based adhesive and One-part Solventless Polyurethane
sealant.
From an education standpoint he has two master’s degree -Masters in Organic Chemistry and MTech in Polymer
Science and Technology from IIT Delhi.
