
Manish Rathi represents MiniMines Cleantech Solutions, located in a Southern Indian State. The company extracts critical minerals from Lithium Ion battery waste using its proprietary hydrometallurgy process developed indigenously in India. Manish holds a master’s in chemical engineering from IIT Bombay with over 10 years of experience in Emissions Control and Battery Technologies. As Vice President of Business Operations, he leads MiniMines' 3000 MTPA operations, covering the procurement of waste batteries and the sale of extracted metal salts, such as lithium carbonate, nickel sulphate, cobalt sulphate, copper and graphite. Previously, he worked for SUN Mobility and Johnson Matthey. As part of its circular economy vision, MiniMines recently signed a $40 million Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Government to establish a 15,000 MTPA material recovery unit in Karnataka to process black mass from spent batteries, cell gigafactory scrap, and other secondary materials.
